I specialize in three types of clients - couples hanging on by a thread, men who are less than thrilled at the idea of attending therapy, and individuals that live under a constant state of performance pressure. As someone who has lived and survived all three of these scenarios personally, I've got a ton of empathy and a box of tools ready for people motivated to achieve change. Whether you're picking up the pieces from infidelity, exhausted from fighting about the same tired topics, or struggling to escape the voices in your head that beat you down, I'm honored to pull up a chair next you and begin sorting through the mess. Prior to being marriage therapist, I spent time working as a financial planner and a Young Life area director. My journey through these non-clinical careers gives me a unique ability to identify and care for entrepreneurs, professionals and people of faith who need direction applicable to their complex journeys. As part of Chenal Family Therapy, I'm available to provide quick access to other specialists on our team as your situation dictates including trauma therapists, experts in helping children with behavioral issues, and access to like-minded psychiatrists who can assist with medication management.

My ideal client is struggling with accessing the answers to their discontent. They need a safe environment without fear of judgment, an environment that fosters self acceptance and growth. Their goals are to feel significant, valid, contributory, and in control of their thoughts and feelings. They want relief from their discontent in order have personal growth. I offer genuine empathy, leaving behind my own perspective to acknowledge and respect another's. Through empathy, I provide validity to my clients journey. Psychological struggle is real for all humans. The relief lies in getting through it, not over it. I invite you to let me be by your side as you get through it.

Grief and Loss are my specialty and grief counseling is the only counseling I do. I'm a Certified Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider, Advanced Palliative Hospice Social Worker-Certified (APHSW-C) and have worked in hospice and bereavement care for years. Are you feeling stuck in your sadness? Are you are experiencing negative thoughts and are not sure how to feel better? Maybe you are avoiding all thoughts about your loved one because it's too painful? You do not have to travel the grief journey alone. Grief counseling will not cure your grief. You grieve because you love, but, I can help you feel better. In my experience, grief counseling works best when we are together, therefore, I do not offer telehealth counseling.
